TLC’s Chili has been named as a donor to Trump’s 2024 campaign

The singer of “No Scrubs” is getting more attention after financial links to the Trump campaign came to light.

New government records have revealed the political work of TLC’s Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas.

Files with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) show that the “No Scrubs” singer gave a lot of money to Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign and other Republican groups.

The papers name a Rozonda Thomas from Stone Mountain, Georgia, who is connected to the R&B star, as the giver behind several deals. The split shows that $210.60 was sent to WinRed, which is the main GOP payment processor, and $340.60 was sent to the Trump National Committee JFC.

Besides that, records show she gave $486.54 to Never Surrender Inc., a Trump-affiliated campaign group.

This is not the first time that Thomas has had a disagreement with some of her fans about a social problem. Many people didn’t like what she said in 2017 when asked about the Black Lives Matter movement during an interview with Channel 4 News in the UK.

“No, I didn’t go to any marches or events like that. I care about every life, you know what I mean?” “At the time,” Thomas said. To explain her perspective, she said, “Because different groups are targeted for different things at different times.” Therefore, I believe that all of the events that occurred were unjust, including the manner in which the police assaulted these young Black boys and similar incidents. Such behavior is wrong, even if it’s a white teen boy. And, of course, some individuals in positions of power may abuse that authority. If they want to hire people for these jobs, I think they should do a better background investigation or a mental health check to see if they can really handle being in that situation.

Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Chilli’s bandmate, didn’t care much about politics at the time, but Chilli was very vocal about how she felt about power and law enforcement. When asked about being a Black woman in the Trump government, Watkins made it clear what was most important to her. “I’m not concerned about Trump. “I mean, God is my leader. “The people it hurts make me sad, but I don’t care about him,” T-Boz said.
