Nia Long Seeks Restraining Order Against Woman Who Claims They Are in a Relationship—Stalker Has Visited Her Home Multiple Times
Nia Long is pursuing legal protection, claiming that a woman’s obsession with her has escalated into multiple disturbing interactions.
The actress has recently submitted a request for a temporary restraining order against Carrie McDonald, alleging persistent harassment and unwelcome visits to her home in Los Angeles. TMZ reports that Long asserts the woman believes they are in a romantic relationship, even though the two have no actual connection.
In legal documents, Long described McDonald as “a stalker” and emphasized that she has no personal relationship with her. She claims that the behavior has continued for almost two years, featuring a recurring pattern of unsolicited gifts like flowers and cards being sent to her.
Authorities were said to have been called during the latest incident on Saturday, March 21, after McDonald allegedly arrived at Long’s residence and rang the doorbell. The police arrived and took the woman into custody. Long also mentioned a previous incident in 2024, stating that McDonald showed up at her residence late at night and insisted she open the door before the officers provided a “strong warning.”
The request for a restraining order seeks protection for Long and her two sons, 25-year-old Massai Dorsey II and 14-year-old Kez Udoka. The judge has currently denied the request. A hearing has been scheduled for April.
