Trump Gives Iran a 48-Hour Deadline Regarding the Strait of Hormuz
US President Donald Trump has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, warning of potential strikes on its energy infrastructure if they fail to comply.
On Saturday, President Donald Trump delivered a stern ultimatum to Iran, stating that it has 48 hours to completely reopen the Strait of Hormuz or confront US strikes that would “obliterate” its crucial energy infrastructure.
“If Iran doesn’t fully open, without threat, the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours from this exact point in time, the United States of America will strike and destroy their various power plants, beginning with the largest one first!” the president expressed on Truth Social.
Iran declared last week that vessels from the US, Israel, and their allies could not transit the waterway.
However, vessels registered under the flags of China, India, Turkey, and Pakistan have persistently navigated through the vital corridor.
Trump issued a warning following his outburst on social media, where he asserted that the US has “blown Iran off of the map” and suggested that the escalating conflict was advancing “weeks ahead of schedule,” while criticizing the New York Times for its contrary reporting.
“Their leadership has vanished, their navy and air force are incapacitated, they possess no defense whatsoever, and yet they seek to negotiate.” “I don’t!” Trump exclaimed before proceeding to criticize the New York Times.
“We are several weeks ahead of schedule.” Similar to their inadequate election coverage of me, the failing New York Times consistently misses the mark! President Donald J. Trump.
