Tasha K has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to settle the judgment owed to Cardi B, stating, “I don’t have $3.5 million sitting in cash”
The polarizing vlogger reaches out to her “WinoGang” for assistance as she faces challenges in clearing her multi-million dollar debt.
Tasha K is now reaching out to her fans for assistance in overcoming a significant financial challenge.
The gossip personality, known as Latasha Kebe, initiated a GoFundMe campaign this week to cover a substantial $3.5 million judgment owed to rap superstar Cardi. B. Although she has a substantial online following, the fundraiser is experiencing a challenging beginning, having raised merely $1,750 at the time of this writing.
The legal proceedings commenced in 2022 when a federal jury determined that Tasha K was liable for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress due to a “malicious campaign” of false allegations against Cardi B. Tasha, having exhausted her appeals and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, is now following a court-ordered plan to address her debt.
Tasha conveyed her shift in perspective about the fundraiser in a personal message to her “Winos.” “For years, many of you have encouraged me to initiate a fundraiser to assist in settling the judgment against me. I consistently declined because I felt it was my duty to manage it independently. “After numerous discussions with all of you, I am finally paying attention,” she wrote.
Tasha disclosed that she is presently contributing $20,000 each month toward the judgment from her funds, a pledge she asserts will persist irrespective of the GoFundMe’s outcome. She characterized the persistent legal pressure as a “system that never seems to end,” pointing out that creditors can continue to summon her back to court for examinations and filings even as she fulfills her payment obligations.
“I may not have $3.5 million readily available, but with the support of my community, we can expedite the process of paying this judgment off, allowing me to finally move ahead and concentrate on creating, reporting, and entertaining without ongoing interruptions,” she added. To motivate her supporters even more, she revealed an upcoming Kickstarter campaign that will showcase exclusive merchandise.
This Tuesday is Tasha’s birthday, and she is making the fundraiser her top priority for the year. In response to potential concerns regarding the allocation of funds, she assured “full transparency,” indicating that the financial records will be shared quarterly, allowing contributors to observe how every dollar is directly applied to the debt.
Cardi B’s legal team remains assertive as Tasha strives to close this chapter. Earlier this week, lawyers for the “Am I The Drama?” rapper submitted motions in Florida’s bankruptcy court to investigate Tasha’s personal bank records and business income to confirm that no assets are being concealed.
