Donald Trump Says “I’m Anti-Them” About the Super Bowl LX Musical Lineup
Trump describes the selection of Green Day and Bad Bunny as a “terrible choice” that “sows hatred.”
Donald Trump has already started to ignore the official countdown to Super Bowl LX in San Francisco.
During a recent interview with the New York Post, Trump expressed his strong opinions about the NFL’s selection of the game’s entertainment for the championship game on February 8. Trump isn’t holding back in his contempt for the lineup, with Bad Bunny taking over the halftime stage and Green Day scheduled to kick off the celebrations.
Both bands have a well-established track record of criticizing Trump. From Bad Bunny’s public criticisms of his administration’s policies to Green Day’s well-known modification of the lyrics of “American Idiot” to target the “MAGA agenda.”
Trump took the dispute head-on, calling the selections “bad” and polarizing.
Trump said, “I’m anti-them,” to the publication. It’s a bad choice, in my opinion. It merely plants enmity. Awful.
Even though he was present at the game in New Orleans last year, Trump has stated that he will not be attending this year’s Levi’s Stadium celebrations. Nonetheless, he maintained that his absence is a logistical issue rather than a direct protest of the performances. This cross-country excursion to San Francisco is just “too far away,” he said, but he did take a time to remind the public of his alleged popularity at previous events.
And he said, “I would [go]” I’ve been given excellent care at the Super Bowl. They admire me. If it were a bit shorter, I would absolutely go.
Given that Bad Bunny is still a major force in streaming worldwide, the NFL’s choice to proceed with such politically vocal artists represents a daring move for the league.
