Don Lemon Explains Nicki Minaj’s Coziness with Trump

The journalist retaliates after the rapper uses homophobic epithets and demands his arrest after a church protest in Minnesota.

Don Lemon and Nicki Minaj’s online feud has gotten out of control. What began as a dispute over Lemon’s coverage of an anti-ICE demonstration at a church in Minneapolis has turned into a heated and intimate back and forth.

Nicki expounded on Lemon’s citizenship and family background over the weekend after calling her a “disgusting thug” and using a homophobic slur against X.

Lemon isn’t holding back when he implies that Nicki’s abrupt support for MAGA politics is a calculated attempt to divert attention from her personal issues. Lemon said, “Nicki Minaj has a lot of problems that would make one think that those problems may be the reason she’s cozying up to MAGA.” He specifically mentioned her brother Jelani Maraj’s and husband Kenneth Petty’s criminal histories. According to rumors, her husband is a sexual offender, and her brother is a pedophile. He should register as a sexual offender.

The journalist questioned Nicki’s ability to claim her faith while using such hate speech to attack others. “You have the audacity to claim to be a Christian. Regarding her notorious “Roman Holiday” stage set, he questioned, “Do you not remember the 2012 Grammy Awards when the Catholic League and all of those people and Christians were going after her for her egregious performance?”

The most startling aspect of Lemon’s retaliation was probably his demand that Nicki be expelled from the nation. Lemon said she is helping those who would like her to leave the country, claiming she is a “undocumented person” who entered as a child. “She ought to be taken, arrested, and deported if that were the case under those regulations, which are Donald Trump’s regulations,” Lemon stated. “Those are the individuals she is curled up with.”

As he concluded his most recent drag, Lemon questioned why her primary fan bases still support her. Why, therefore, do African Americans back her? Why does she have the backing of the LGBTQ community? “You should not,” he protested. “She is racist against, I believe, Black Americans and a homophobe.”

It’s obvious that Lemon is done being polite to the Barbz leader, even if Nicki has already intensified her remarks, saying she used the insults especially to “get the media to post about it.”
