Claressa Shields disputes the 1.6 million claim and the Papoose manager rumor

The boxing sensation goes public after discovering that Papoose has been falsely accused of being her manager.

Following fabricated allegations that he managed her money that went viral online, Claressa Shields refutes the Papoose manager story.

The boxing champion responded to persistent allegations on social media that Papoose was her manager and earned 1.6 million dollars from her career. Shields described the rumor as insulting and repulsive, claiming the story is entirely made up.

Papoose is not her manager and has never handled her company or finances, as Claressa Shields has made clear. She added that John “Pap” Jackson, her previous trainer, was never her manager and never did she get paid.

One commenter was specifically called out by Shields, who expressed her frustration with people bringing what she called stupidity to her site. “No one has ever been able to explain where it came from,” she claimed, raising questions about how the 1.6 million figure even began.

She stated, “It’s actually sickening every time I see it,” noting that she has already refuted the allegation several times.

Athletes frequently have to publicly refute misleading financial storylines, which is the source of the frustration. Shields claimed that in this instance, the rumor continues to bring Papoose into discussions unrelated to her financial situation or corporate structure.

She was straightforward in her message. Her boss wasn’t Papoose. None of them got the 1.6 million dollars. She also wants people to quit telling the same story.
