Trump wants countries to pay $1 billion to remain on his peace board according to a source

Bloomberg News said on Saturday that the Trump administration wants countries to pay $1 billion to remain on his peace board, citing a draft charter.

The article stated that each member state would have a term of no more than three years from the date this charter entered into force, subject to renewal by the chairman, and that US President Donald Trump would serve as its initial chairman.

Reuters couldn’t confirm the report right away.

In response to Reuters’ inquiry, the U.S. State Department cited Trump and his special envoy Steve Witkoff’s earlier social media statements regarding the board, which omitted the number.
