Mathew Knowles claims that Beyoncé never intended to become a billionaire following her Forbes milestone

The music mogul claims that rather than her enormous financial portfolio, his daughter is motivated by artistic excellence and fan satisfaction.

Even though Beyoncé was officially listed as a Forbes billionaire at the end of 2025, her father, Mathew Knowles, believes that her ten-figure fortune is just a result of her hard work.

Knowles discussed his daughter’s relationship with riches in a recent interview with Page Six, claiming that her major priorities have always been her work and her audience.

Knowles disclosed that Beyoncé’s inner monologue is focused on development, saying, “I’ve never heard her ever talk about money.” “I’ve often wondered how I can please my supporters. How can I excel at what I do?

The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer’s ascent to billionaire status comes after an unprecedented period of domination in both commerce and culture. Beyoncé has effectively diversified her empire, as evidenced by the record-breaking Cowboy Carter era and the enormous success of the Renaissance World Tour.

Successful endeavors like SirDavis whisky and her Cécred hair care line, which let her cross the finish line and became just the sixth musician to do so, are now part of her portfolio.

She now stands among a select group of her peers, which includes her husband, Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Bruce Springsteen.

Although he contacted her to congratulate her on the official rating, Knowles said that he does not see the title as an integral part of her identity.

“Her success brought her money, but that has never been her objective. He said, “And I adore that about her.” He continued by emphasizing that a bank statement is not nearly as intimate as her true purpose.

He told the outlet again, “That’s just not Beyoncé. That’s not who she is.” Being the best is what drives her. Making her fans happy and giving back to the community are what drive her.

As 2026 progresses, the international celebrity seems undisturbed by her new financial situation and continues to concentrate on the next stage of her career.
