The head of the Mozambican parliament pays a visit to Rwandan troops in Cabo Delgado

Margarida Adamugi Talapa, the president of Mozambique’s parliament, visited the Rwandan Security Forces (RSF) stationed there on Tuesday, December 23, and urged them to continue their duty with unwavering determination.

Valige Tauabo, the governor of Cabo Delgado Province, and Maj Gen André Rafael Mahunguane, the commander of the Mozambican Armed Forces (FADM), were among the high-ranking delegation members who followed Talapa.

The commander of the RSF Joint Task Force, Maj Gen Vincent Gatama, welcomed the group and gave them an update on the security situation in the RSF area of responsibility.

During her speech, Talapa praised Rwandan and Mozambican security forces’ combined efforts to fight terrorism and bring normalcy back to the area.

She also commended the two nations’ strong cooperation, pointing out that it deepens Mozambique and Rwanda’s solidarity and demonstrates a shared commitment to peace in Cabo Delgado.
