Chelsea tears up the forest after Postecgolou is sacked minutes after the final whistle

Nottingham Forest fired boss Ange Postecoglou just 20 minutes after losing 3-0 at home to Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday. The loss puts the club just above the relegation zone, which is a very dangerous place to be.

At the end of the game, Postecoglou seemed to be the only one cheering as boos rang through The City Ground. He made history in the wrong way by becoming the first Forest manager to go winless in his first eight games. When Evangelos Marinakis, the owner of the club, walked out with the score 2-0, it was clear that a choice had already been made.

In the first three minutes of the second half, Pedro Neto scored and set up a goal in quick succession, giving Chelsea the lead. Even though they were missing important midfielders Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez and had to play with 10 men after Malo Gusto got sent off, the guests easily won.

Defender Josh Acheampong, who is 19 years old, broke the tie with a free header from Neto’s cross. Then, Neto’s driven free kick made it 2-0 by beating Matz Sels through a wall that wasn’t put together well. Forest’s bad luck got worse when Reece James scored in the third goal from a corner kick, which made a lot of home fans leave the field.

Forest had missed some great chances earlier. Morgan Gibbs-White missed two clear chances, and Igor Jesus’s shot hit the post in the 70th minute, which was the closest thing they had to a comeback.

After the game, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, who was banned from the sidelines and had to watch from the stands, said he had mixed feelings.

Maresca told TNT Sports, “I’m sorry, it’s always a shame.” You have to win games in this business, which is a shame. Otherwise, it will be the same for everyone.

The win puts Chelsea in fourth place and is their first clean sheet since August. After just eight games, Ange Postecoglou’s time as Forest’s manager is over. They will now start a new search for security.
