Harry Kane: Is it possible for Tottenham to make a comeback?

Many people thought an era was coming to an end when Tottenham sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich for €100 million. There was a huge gap left by the English striker, who scored 213 Premier League goals.

However, Spurs have won the Europa League and are currently in third place in the league under new coach Thomas Frank, who appears to be succeeding without him. Nevertheless, rumors of a Kane return have persisted. The club’s increasing interest suggests that the tale may not be finished, even if the striker has insisted that he is content in Munich.

The possibility is alluring financially. If Kane indicates his intention to depart before the end of January, he will have a €65 million release clause next summer. The prolific forward, who has already scored 24 goals in 16 games this season, is being watched by other English teams, but Tottenham has the advantage of a priority buyout option. Spurs, however, are having trouble maintaining consistency in their attack: Kolo Muani has not yet made his Premier League debut, Richarlison’s form has declined, and Solanke is still a backup. Kane is the final component that Frank needs to complete his ambitious scheme.

Tottenham’s fresh pursuit is further complicated by the return of Fabio Paratici, who had persuaded Kane to stay. The situation appears to be perfect for reconciliation now that Daniel Levy has resigned from his position as club leader. The temptation of coming home, winning a trophy with his childhood team, and breaking Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League record would be too alluring for Kane to ignore. Whether or not one of football’s most poignant reunions happens could be decided in the coming months.
