Isak could make his debut for Liverpool against Atletico

Alexander Isak, the British record acquisition for Liverpool, will be part of the team when they play Atletico Madrid in the Champions League opener, manager Arne Slot announced on Tuesday.

Fans may be excited to watch the Swedish striker play at Anfield, but Slot made an effort to downplay their expectations.

Slot told reporters on Tuesday that there was “definitely a chance because he’s in the squad.” “I’m positive he won’t play for ninety minutes. However, he is a member of the team.

Slot claimed that Isak was still not totally healthy, thus he was kept out of the squad for Sunday’s 1-0 victory at Burnley. Isak signed joined Newcastle United on deadline day for 125 million pounds ($169.5 million).
