Spain demands that Russia and Israel be excluded from international sporting events

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who made reference to the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, stated on Monday that Israel and Russia should be excluded from international sporting events until their “barbaric acts” stop.

The La Vuelta cycling competition was disrupted by violent pro-Palestinian protesters in Madrid on Sunday, which Sanchez stated he condemned. As a result, the podium ceremony and the final leg were canceled.
