De Bruyne says it will feel weird to return to Manchester City

Kevin De Bruyne, a midfielder for Belgium, stated on Saturday that it will be an odd experience to return to Manchester City later this month while wearing the colors of his new team, Napoli.

When his contract was not renewed at the end of the previous season, De Bruyne, 34, left City to join Napoli, who will play their Champions League group opener at the Etihad Stadium on September 18.

“I’ve only participated in two Serie A games. On the eve of Belgium’s World Cup Group J qualifier against Kazakhstan in Brussels, De Bruyne told reporters, “It’s different under manager (Antonio) Conte than the years under Pep Guardiola.”

“It seems to me that things are a little slower and more tactical in Italy. It’s still football, though.

In response to inquiries regarding his club career rather than the World Cup match, he continued, “I played other systems before while at Manchester City.”

“Napoli and I will shortly play City in Manchester. That will be peculiar. “City is my club and I won’t let that change,” De Bruyne continued.
