Tanzania will play the troublesome Congo in the next Group E encounter

Tanzania will play Congo in their next CAF FIFA World Cup match in Group E, which is scheduled to start at the Alphonse Massamba-Debat Stadium on Friday. The match is part of the CAF FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The game will start at 5:00 p.m. CAT.

Tanzania is currently six points behind Morocco, who have been flawless throughout their qualification bid, in second place in Group E. On the other side, Congo is in last place going into matchday seven and has yet to win in the standings.

Tanzania’s next two Group E assignments are against Congo and Niger. They will enter their next match fresh off a 2-0 defeat to the Atlas Lions in their most recent qualifier, which was played at Stade Municipal on March 25.

Throughout their qualifying campaign, Congo’s progress was stalled by FIFA suspensions, and their problems were exacerbated by defeats to Zambia and Morocco.

According to Tanzania assistant coach Jamhuri Kihwelu, his team had enough time to improve their match fitness with their club teams before their impending qualifiers.

“We are confident of delivering a strong performance despite limited preparation together, given that all players have been actively training with their respective clubs,” Kihwelu stated.

The Red Devils coach stated that they will use their next three games as a gauge for their future progress, with Fabrizio Cesana expected to captain Congo for the remaining Group E assignments.

“We’ll play these three games and see what transpires at the conclusion. If the coach is good, if he has worked well or badly, if the players have done well or terribly,” Cesana said.
