Gündogan will sign with Galatasaray following his departure from the city
Manchester City let Ilkay Gündogan leave, and now he is almost certain to make a surprise move to Galatasaray. The champions of Turkey can make more improvements until September 12, when the transfer window closes. They have made the 34-year-old midfielder their top goal.
Romano says that City has given Gündogan permission to fly to Istanbul to settle personal matters and get medical care. Inside of the next 24 hours, the deal should be done.
Before his time with Barcelona, Gündogan won every major title with Manchester City. He is now set to sign a deal with Galatasaray that lasts until 2027.
The Turkish champions, who are already in the Champions League, see the veteran defender as a key player who will help them reach their European goals.
