Dortmund and Chelsea are almost done with a double deal
Borussia Dortmund will pay €25 million to acquire two Chelsea players. It was agreed that Carney Chukwuemeka would become a permanent member of Borussia Dortmund.
Additionally, Borussia Dortmund signed Argentinean defender Aarón Anselmino to a loan agreement. After playing 17 games on loan at Dortmund the previous season, Chukwuemeka is now a permanent member under Niko Kovač. He brings depth and inventiveness to the midfield, and Anselmino, albeit temporarily without a buyout option, fortifies the defense.
The timing of these additions is ideal for Dortmund, who drew 3-3 with St. Pauli in their Bundesliga debut. With both Chelsea players on the team, BVB intends to improve results and set greater goals for both the domestic and European competitions this year.
