Arsenal manager fuels rumors about Györes with a secret response
Mikel Arteta has spoken out about Arsenal’s ongoing search for new players, as rumors about Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyökeres grow.
The Gunners have been very interested for months, but Manchester United’s late arrival into the race has made things more difficult. During Arsenal’s training tour in Singapore, Arteta said the team doesn’t have enough depth and that the club is still “studying the market” to find ways to improve.
When asked about Gyökeres in particular, Arteta told them, “I can’t say anything about a player who isn’t on our team yet.” But his careful choice of words gave Arsenal fans reason to be hopeful, since the word “yet” suggests that talks are still going on. The Swedish forward’s future is still very much up in the air since the trade window is still open.
