Hakimi is predicted to defeat Salah, Yamal, and Dembele to win the Ballon d’Or
Three-time CAF African Coach of the Year Hervé Renard has supported Moroccan sensation Achraf Hakimi to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
The right-back for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has had a great 2024–25 season, winning the Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League, the Coupe de France, the Trophée des Champions, and making it to the FIFA Club World Cup final.
Many have predicted that Ousmane Dembele of PSG, Mohamed Salah of Liverpool FC, and Lamine Yamal of FC Barcelona will be the front-runners for the coveted international prize.
Renard, who won the AFCON championship with Zambia and Ivory Coast, praised Haikimu as a football player who is “exceptional, consistent, and decisive.”
He is among the top players in the world right now. He has been outstanding, reliable, and decisive in every performance, so in my opinion, he is this season’s Ballon d’Or,” the former Morocco head coach stated on Morocco Worldwide News.
His development has been remarkable. He has only joined elite teams, from Dortmund to Inter Milan to Paris Saint-Germain, which perfectly captures his brilliance.
Achraf Hakimi is the top player on the continent right now. Furthermore, considering his youth, he has yet to add any accomplishments to his resume.
On September 22, 2025, the 69th Ballon d’Or awards ceremony will be held at Paris’s Théâtre du Châtelet.
