Sherif is back at Al Ahly and three new signings have been announced

Mohamed Sherif, an accomplished striker, is one of three new players that Al Ahly has announced they have signed.

The 29-year-old spent two years with the Saudi Arabian team Al-Khaleej before rejoining the Egyptian powerhouses on a five-year contract.

Al-Ahly is unquestionably one of Egypt’s and Africa’s football havens. On every level, it is apart from other clubs,” Sherif told the club’s press.

It was only natural for me to go back to the place that helped me establish my reputation. Every day presents new challenges and aspirations for me to write history by taking home titles and satisfying the fans.

The Cairo-based team also announced the signing of Yassin Marei, a defender from Pharco who played a significant role there.

Yassin Marei, a defender from Pharco, has joined Al-Ahly on a five-year contract, the club stated in a statement.

Additionally, Al Ahly signed left-back Mohamed Shoukry from Ceramica Cleopatra to bolster head coach Jose Riveiro’s defense.

“Mohamed Shoukry from Ceramica Cleopatra has joined Al-Ahly Club on a five-year contract,” the club said in a statement.

The goal for Al Ahly in the 2025–2026 season is to successfully defend the Egyptian Premier League championship and win the CAF Champions League again.
