Kolo Touré has returned to Manchester City, this time as a member of the coaching staff. After lending a hand during the Club World Cup campaign, the former Ivorian international, who played for the team from 2009 to 2013, was formally named Pep Guardiola’s full-time assistant.
In a statement confirming the news, City highlighted Touré’s new permanent job and expressed their delight with his performance.
The 44-year-old ex-defender, who has worked at Leicester City and Wigan in the past, offers significant expertise as a coach and as a former elite player.
