Chelsea defeated PSG 3-0 to win the title of World Club Champions
Joao Pedro and ECole Palmer both scored goals as Chelsea defeated PSG 3-0 to win the Club World Cup.
Following a convincing 3-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in Sunday’s final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Chelsea was proclaimed the FIFA Club World Cup champions.
The game’s standout, Cole Palmer, doubled the advantage with a spectacular solo effort in the 30th minute after opening the score with a precise assist from Malo Gusto in the 22nd.
João Pedro’s calm finish over Gianluigi Donnarumma following a through pass from Palmer shortly before halftime solidified Chelsea’s lead.
The Blues’ early momentum left PSG obviously shell shocked, but goalkeeper Robert Sánchez was equally brilliant, making crucial saves to maintain a clean sheet. João Neves’ belligerent behavior in the second half ignited PSG’s frustrations, as they failed to create a real comeback despite controlling possession and having an attacking pedigree.
