CHAN 2024: CAF Finishes Examining Facilities in Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya

The Confédération Africain de Football (“CAF”) and the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024, which will be held in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda from August 2 to August 30, 2025, have just concluded an incredibly successful 8-day inspection trip of host venues.

In Nairobi, Kenya, the final round of inspections and workshops got underway on Thursday, July 3. The CAF delegation conducted last-minute inspections at Kasarani Stadium, the site of the Final, and Nyayo International Stadium.

The inspectors visited Zanzibar’s Amaan Stadium as well as Dar es Salaam’s Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, the site of the Opening Ceremony.

The final rounds of inspections concluded Thursday, July 9 at the Mandela International Stadium in Kampala, Uganda.

The comprehensive inspection trip was led by the numerous CAF functional leads from key areas, such as broadcast, media, competitions, marketing, safety & security, and infrastructure.

Their equivalents from the Local Organising Committees in the three host nations accompanied them.

With only a few days to go before the tournament starts, the successful completion of the final round of inspections marks a significant turning point in the exciting lead-up to East Africa hosting what promises to be an amazing celebration of African football.

The successful inspection demonstrates the three host nations’ joint readiness and growing excitement prior to the competition starting.

CAF would like to thank the governments and local organizing committees of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda for their hard work and cooperation in making the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship a huge success.
