Asensio is getting closer to leaving PSG after the Fenerbahíe deal
Fenerbahçe and Paris Saint-Germain have agreed to the sale of Marco Asensio, who is no longer in Luis Enrique’s plans.
With eight goals and one assist in 21 games during his six-month loan at Aston Villa, Marco Asensio returned to Paris this summer but was not included on PSG’s Club World Cup roster.
After playing 47 games for the French champions and recording 7 goals and 11 assists, the Spanish forward, whose contract is set to expire in 2026, is anticipated to go.
A transfer offer from Fenerbahçe purportedly worth over €15 million has persuaded PSG, according to a number of sources. The player and the Turkish club still need to come to an agreement, though. José Mourinho’s team has reportedly offered a €9 million yearly salary, which Asensio finds inadequate, according to Turkish media. There are still talks going on, but both parties are hopeful.
In addition to Inter Milan, Asensio, who joined PSG on a free transfer in 2023, is still a coveted asset on the European market. It looks like the former Real Madrid player will start a new chapter in the Turkish Süper Lig if Fenerbahçe can agree on personal terms.
