Chris Webber Seems to Respond to Allegations That He Is Doug Christie’s Eldest Child’s Father

Chris and Doug, Jackie Christie’s husband, were teammates in the early 2000s.

Despite circulating claims that he fathered Doug Christie’s eldest daughter, a claim that, if accurate, would suggest a decades-long affair with Christie’s wife, Jackie, Chris Webber has spoken out. 

Even though there is no formal documentation to back up the explosive allegation, which has gone viral online, it is allegedly connected to an unsubstantiated $4.6 million lawsuit.

Taking to social media on Tuesday, June 10, the former NBA All-Star addressed the rumors head-on, calling the tale a total fiction and threatening legal action against anyone who propagated it.

In light of this, I would want to kindly remind you that not everything you read, see, or hear is true. Then again, they’re all lies. No evidence, just untrue lies. Exhibiting signs of frustration, Webber sternly warned media outlets and content producers who were promoting the story.

“Take remove everything that has my name linked to lies on your platform right away. To those who initiated the rumors, who began the falsehoods, and who persisted in spreading them… Don’t take it down, I dare you. Please tell the untruth again. You will not bring disgrace on my name. Of course, the attorneys are working. They are obviously motivated and emotionally invested.

Additionally, Webber took advantage of the storm to advertise his book, By God’s Grace, and provide his own advice on maintaining concentration in the face of trouble.

“If anyone else would like some advice, a tale, or some resources on how to maintain attention and overcome distractions… Please pick up my book, “By God’s Grace, By God’s Grace, By God’s Grace… He used the spiritual lesson, “The enemy wants us to be distracted,” to wrap up his speech.

Although there is currently no formal court record of the alleged lawsuit between Webber and the Christies, Webber’s vehement response indicates that he is prepared to resist any attempt to tarnish his reputation.
