Marcus Jordan’s DUI trial will not proceed as planned in June
Marcus Jordan’s request for additional time before his DUI trial starts has been granted.
The former collegiate basketball player’s attempt to move his driving under the influence court date to September was unsuccessful.
Marcus Jordan was taken into custody earlier this year after he admitted to using illegal drugs prior to driving, which resulted in a minor collision.
In September, Marcus Jordan’s DUI trial will begin.
Jordan’s DUI case will not go to trial later this month as originally planned. At his request, the date has now been moved forward by a few months.
Jordan and his lawyers submitted a motion to reschedule the trial from its original start date of June 23 in order to give them more time to negotiate a plea deal with the prosecution, according to court filings.
A judge later established a fresh trial date for early September after the prosecution did not raise any objections to this request. Jordan is currently facing three charges: possession of ketamine, resisting an officer without using force, and DUI.
When officials discovered his Lamborghini SUV trapped on railroad tracks in Florida on February 4, they placed him under arrest. He acknowledged having substance misuse issues and sought professional assistance after the incident, according to TMZ.
The 34-Year-Old Dealt with His Substance Abuse
The sportsman declared that he had been sober for 40 days in the middle of May. The former collegiate basketball star showed his resolve to stick with this new course by posting updates on Instagram about his progress. He shared a photo from his workout to highlight his emphasis on wellness.
This emphasis on well-being follows his admission in court filings that he was struggling with alcohol and drug usage. He stated that he was prepared to take proactive measures to resolve these problems and turn back into a better person.
Most significantly, Jordan may have learnt a valuable lesson during his arrest because the police’s actions were unaffected even if he allegedly claimed to be the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan during the stop.
Larsa Pippen Tells Her About Jordan’s Terrifying Text Messages
When the 34-year-old started dating Larsa Pippen in 2023, his romantic life attracted a lot of interest on social media. Given their ties to well-known NBA players Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, the situation was particularly contentious.
Marca pointed out that the tabloids were occupied for almost two years following their shocking split in 2024. A year and a half after the breakup, Pippen is starting to regain her footing.
She discussed the hurt of their split, especially how it affected her kids, in an open discussion on the “Housewives Nightcap” podcast.
The reality star talked about her internal conflict and her doubts about her choice to introduce Jordan to her family before everything fell apart. “It’s really tough when you bring someone into your home, around your kids, and then you break up,” she stated.
The 50-year-old is feeling nervous because Jordan is scheduled to feature in season seven of “The Real Housewives of Miami,” which will further complicate her circumstances.
A more concerning element of their breakup was also alluded to in the RHOM teaser, as Pippen told co-star Alexia Nepola that the collegiate athlete had threatened her via text during their last days together.
Pippen and Jordan Openly Discussed Their Sexual Lives
According to The Blast, the couple was outspoken and proud of their love for one another before their relationship ended.
The now-estranged pair talked candidly about their love during an interview on Andy Cohen’s show, attributing the ease of their courtship to their friendship and same interests.
When Cohen brought up Pippen’s prior admissions from the 2023 “Real Housewives of Miami” reunion, in which she disclosed that she frequently had sex “four times a night,” even during her prior marriage, the discussion took a sultry turn.
“That’s facts,” Pippen said when the subject was brought up again, adding that she now likes to have sex with Jordan “probably five times a night.”
His competitive nature was acknowledged in a funny response from Jordan, who said that their intimate encounters are “way more than three times.”
Following Larsa Pippen’s breakup, Marcus Jordan discussed his relationship status.
