Diddy is accused of raping and drugging a reporter while on tour in Europe
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faces allegations from a reporter who claims he drugged and raped her during his European tour in 2000.
A 55-year-old rapper is currently on trial in New York facing federal charges that include racketeering and sex trafficking. Outside of the courtroom, Kathi Steininger, a 44-year-old journalist from Austria, has publicly accused him of an attack that occurred when she was 19.
In an interview with Austrian broadcaster PULS 24, she stated that the incident took place following her on-camera interview with Combs.
She claimed that she was separated from her cameraman, received a drink from Combs, and then lost consciousness.
Kathi reportedly woke up to discover that she was being assaulted on the back of his tour bus.
She remarked about the drink she received: “There was definitely something in it.” I would never have gone to bed with that man.
Kathi also mentioned her intention to testify in Combs’ ongoing sex trafficking trial in New York, but she was informed that her case fell outside the statute of limitations because the alleged assault took place overseas.
Subsequently, she decided to forgo her anonymity and publicly share her story, conveying her hope for justice and possible legal action in Austria.
She also disclosed that the purported attack resulted in post-traumatic stress disorder, making her unable to work.
Combs also faced charges of coercion.
The trial, which commenced in May 2025, focuses on allegations that Combs orchestrated a decade-long scheme characterized by violence, coercion, and forced involvement in drug-fueled sex events, termed “freak-offs.”
The incidents reportedly included prominent attendees and were marked by rampant drug consumption and non-consensual sexual activities.
The core of the allegations revolves around Combs’ connection with his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, 38, who initiated legal action against him in November 2023.
Cassie alleged that Combs committed rape, engaged in physical abuse, and coerced her into participating in “freak-off” orgies.
The following day, the lawsuit was settled out of court.
In May 2024, footage from 2016 emerged, reportedly depicting Combs physically assaulting Ventura in a hotel hallway. The video, acquired by CNN, seemed to support Ventura’s allegations of mistreatment.
Combs has refuted all accusations leveled against him.
Ben Brafman, his lawyer, characterized Ventura’s allegations as “offensive and outrageous.”
The trial is anticipated to extend over several weeks, featuring testimonies from numerous accusers and significant media attention.
If found guilty on all counts, Combs may be subjected to a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
