Chris Brown Will Stay in Prison Until June Court Date, U.K. Judge Decides
A UK judge denies bail in an ongoing assault case, citing the singer as a flight risk.
A London judge decided that Chris Brown’s present legal predicament is too serious to be addressed in a lower court, putting an official halt to his Breezy Bowl XX tour.
The matter has been transferred to Southwark Crown Court by District Judge Joanne Hirst, and Brown is expected to appear there on June 13.
Brown’s bail request was also turned down by Judge Hirst, who cited fears that he would leave the country.
As you are aware, the R&B artist was arrested on Thursday in relation to a 2023 attack that was allegedly committed.
Music producer Abe Diaw filed a complaint alleging that Brown assaulted him at London’s TAPE nightclub last year, which led to the arrest.
Brown’s plans for a European tour will be put on hold while he is imprisoned in the United Kingdom until his next court appearance.
