Cardoso begins to prepare for the Pyramids
Head coach Miguel Cardoso of Mamelodi Sundowns, who won the Betway Premiership title with one game remaining, will now turn his attention to the CAF Champions League final.
Bafana ba Style defeated Chippa United 3-0 at Buffalo City Stadium on Wednesday to take an insurmountable 15-point lead over the Orlando Pirates, securing the league title for the ninth consecutive year.
In the semi-finals of Africa’s top club competition, the Brazilians defeated the reigning champions Al Ahly on away goals, making them the favorites to win the coveted cup for the second time in their history.
But on Sunday, just six days before Masandawana and Pyramids meet for the first time at Loftus Versfeld on May 24, Cardoso says he would be taking Magesi very personally.
After winning four straight games and holding Sekhukhune United to a 1-1 draw most recently, Dikwena tsa Meetse is having a great comeback under Owen Da Gama and has virtually guaranteed their place in the top division.
“I will start thinking about it now, yeah, I will,” the Portuguese said when asked if he would now be anticipating the doubleheader against the Egyptian Premier League team.
It does not, however, imply that we will not get ready to defeat Magesi in our upcoming match. Since Magesi has been playing well lately, we must take care of them if we want to finish the league as best we can in front of our supporters. Of course we will.
However, I will now undoubtedly begin making plans for Pyramids. Because that’s how we get ready, I know my team are working on it. the manner in which they are preparing for the Club World Cup.
But I’m not worried about the Club World Cup at all. Let’s watch ourselves since that’s also the most crucial thing, but I have time to start viewing stuff about pyramids.
