Tony Kroos praises Barcelona’s approach after El Clásico’s triumph

La Liga probably announced its winner last Sunday. In what was arguably the season’s most important El Clasico, FC Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 4-3 at Montjuïc. Toni Kroos, one of the Casa Blanca’s most recognizable recent personalities, was watching from a distance.

The renowned midfielder, who is now retired, talked about Hansi Flick’s Barça in an interview with Mundo Deportivo, and he wasn’t holding back when he expressed his admiration.

The Catalan team’s technical fluency and perseverance under pressure were two things that particularly drew the German’s notice. “That’s what makes Barça so impressive,” the six-time Champions League champion remarked. As though nothing had occurred, they continue to play. There is no fear of losing with them.

Kroos continued by drawing a comparison between this mindset and that of his old team, saying, “After winning 2-0, we could see that Real Madrid had doubts.” The technical comfort level of Barça is really high. Real didn’t play with the greatest confidence, and it’s unexpected that they were unable to capitalize on that advantage.

His remarks highlight how much Barcelona has impressed impartial onlookers with their bravery and composure under Flick. Kroos’ statements reveal a shifting balance in the most intense rivalry in Spanish football, even though no one can predict what impact he might have had on the field.
