Miley Cyrus Addresses Speculation About a Conflict with Her Parents

Miley Cyrus has dismissed rumors of a conflict with her parents.

The 32-year-old singer has asserted that she is “tight” with her mother Tish, 57, following the podcast host’s apparent decision to stop following her on social media, explaining that it was actually due to a technical misunderstanding.

Miley shared in a statement on her Instagram Story: “I seldom address rumors, but my mama and I have a bond that nothing could ever disrupt.”

“She is my closest friend.” Like many mothers, she struggles with her phone and accidentally unfollowed me – a straightforward, coincidental, and rather mundane occurrence.

Tish stated that she accidentally unfollowed the ‘Flowers’ hitmaker after a fan pointed it out to her.

She posted on the social media platform: “I didn’t.” I’m not sure what occurred, haha. 
Tish, who has overseen Miley’s career since her rise to fame as a teenager on the TV series ‘Hannah Montana’, mentioned that she is as “close” as ever to her daughter.

In a separate post, she stated: “I would never unfollow Miley; she and I are as close as we’ve ever been.” That’s it. Little ❤️ @mileycyrus.

Miley also talked about her relationship with her father Billy Ray, 63, noting that they are currently in a good place despite the “challenges” they have faced in the past.

The singer of ‘Wrecking Ball’ stated, “My dad and I have faced our challenges throughout the years.” At this stage in my 30s, my family takes precedence over everything else. I find solace in the fact that connections have been established and time has facilitated much healing.

Miley expressed her gratitude, stating, “I am thankful for the good health and love that flows through my family.”

In the meantime, the star has previously stated that it was her mother who had “raised” her, even though the ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ singer played a significant role in her music career.

During her appearance on ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction’ with David Letterman last year, she remarked: “Without my dad, I know — I mean, not just literally I wouldn’t be sitting in this chair, I wouldn’t exist — but I would not, who I am as a person, it wouldn’t exist.” My dad, with his creative and artistic mindset, has always provided me with a sense of security in my own thoughts, as we share many similar ideas.

“I believe that much of my perspective on reality and life has come from him, rather than from my upbringing — which was primarily shaped by my mom.”
