Ye accuses Kim Kardashian of violating his parental rights and sends her a cease-and-desist letter

Ye has expressed concerns about co-parenting with Kim following their separation.

Since his divorce from Kim Kardashian, Ye, previously known as Kanye West, has expressed his grievances concerning his parental rights. The Chicago artist has recently submitted a cease-and-desist letter to his ex-wife regarding the welfare and custody of his minor children: North West, Saint West, Chicago West, and Psalm West.

According to the document acquired by TMZ, Ye’s attorney, Kathy Johnson, asserts that Kardashian has breached their divorce settlement. Although they have legal custody arrangements, Ye believes his requests as a parent are frequently overlooked, undermining his rights to participate equally in decision-making with co-parent Kim about their children. This encompasses his request that Kim refrain from sharing “images and videos” of their eldest daughter North on TikTok. He further alleged that Kim left the 11-year-old unattended in a car during parts of the 2025 Met Gala this week.

Ye asserts that he has been denied “meaningful access” to his children, claiming that his interactions with North, Chicago, and Psalm have been “unreasonably restricted.” He asserts that he hasn’t seen his son Saint since 2024, reiterating statements he previously made on X/Twitter. This has been disproven, as there are photos of the Bully rapper with his three youngest children in Japan from this January. He also accused his ex of taking advantage of North for “personal or commercial gain” through social media footage of the pre-teen at various events.

Ye has recently expressed his dissatisfaction with co-parenting alongside his ex, indicating his plan to involve more legal representation. According to sources close to Kim, Ye has seldom asked to spend time with their children in 2025, and she did not refuse him when he did make such requests.
