Thierry Henry is allegedly in negotiations to take over as RB Leipzig’s next head coach
Thierry Henry may return to club management in the near future. The French football icon has reportedly begun talks with RB Leipzig about taking over the squad at the end of the current campaign, according to Journal du Dimanche.
With no club at the moment, Henry, who most recently guided the French U21 team to a silver medal at the Olympics in Paris, is apparently up for the assignment.
The season for RB Leipzig has been disappointing. Marco Rose was fired as a result of the team’s failure to make an impression in the Bundesliga and the Champions League, even though they retained important players like Xavi Simons, Benjamin Sesko, and Lois Openda.
Leipzig’s administration is considering audacious choices, while Oliver Glasner and Cesc Fabregas are also on the shortlist. The club’s ambition is in line with Henry’s attacking style and demonstrated ability to connect with young players. Additionally, his prior affiliation with the New York Red Bulls has allowed him to maintain constant communication with Red Bull executives. Jürgen Klopp, who currently manages football operations for the Red Bull group, is said to have already approved the possible transfer.
