Kendrick Lamar is the most nominated artist for the 2025 American Music Awards

Kendrick Lamar has ten nominations, the most of any artist for the 2025 American Music Awards.

Rap superstar Drake’s insult song “Not Like Us” is up for Song of the Year, further hurting his competitor, and his 2024 album “GNX” is in the running for Album of the Year. For Artist of the Year, K Dot will also compete against artists including Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan.

With eight nominations, Post Malone is right behind him.

Roan, Shaboozey, and Billie Eilish each have seven chances to win. 

Roan, Benson Boone, Doechii, Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Lola Young, The Marias, ROSÉ, Teddy Swims, Tommy Richman, and Tyla are among this year’s first-time nominees.

Taylor Swift, who has received six nominations, will try to maintain her record as the singer with the most American Music Awards victories ever.

Beyonce is also on the shortlist for Favorite Female Country Artist of the Year and Favorite Country Album for “Cowboy Carter.”
To be named Favorite K-pop Artist, ATEEZ, Jimin, RM, ROSÉ, and Stray Kids will compete.

The proceedings will be hosted by Jennifer Lopez in Las Vegas on May 26.
