Starlink is currently accessible in Somalia according to Musk
Elon Musk, the owner of SpaceX, announced on the social media site X on Sunday that the business’s Starlink satellite system is now operational in Somalia. A Somali government official also verified that the company has been granted a license to operate in the nation.
“We have been negotiating with Starlink for the past two and a half years. In a video released on the Facebook page of the state news agency SONNA on Sunday, Mustafa Yasiin, the director of communication in the telecommunications ministry, stated, “We granted them the license today.”
“We hope Starlink will increase the quality of the existing internet in Somalia and will make the internet service reach more remote areas,” he stated.
