Tyreek Hill, WR for the Dolphins, was not charged following a domestic dispute

Tyreek Hill, a receiver for the Miami Dolphins, and his wife reportedly got into a domestic argument on Monday, but no charges were brought against them.

The couple’s Sunny Isles Beach property, which is just northeast of Miami, is where the event happened.

According to reports, Hill’s mother-in-law called the police and then informed cops on the scene that she was afraid for her daughter’s safety because Hill was hostile.

According to reports, Hill’s wife, Lakeeta Vaccaro Hill, stated that she was in the process of filing for divorce since couples therapy wasn’t working well. Vaccaro Hill filed for divorce on Tuesday, stating that their marriage was irretrievably ruined.

Tyreek Hill, 31, told police on Monday that he attempted to discuss the therapy with his wife, but that after he was informed that he wasn’t spending enough time with their kid, things became heated.

The Dolphins verified the Hill incident on Wednesday.

“On Monday, we were informed that the police were called to Tyreek Hill’s home and after conversations with Tyreek and members of his family, the police departed the residence without further incident and the case was closed,” the team stated. “We have since been in communication with Tyreek and the NFL and will have no further comment on the matter.”

Throughout his career, Hill has been a part of numerous off-field events.

In September of this year, Hill was pulled from his vehicle during a traffic stop on his way to a Dolphins home game. When Hill refused to cooperate, the cops became very combative. Later, the traffic citations were dropped.

After choking his then-pregnant girlfriend while attending Oklahoma State, Hill entered a guilty plea to domestic assault and battery by strangulation in 2015. He was placed on probation for three years.

Hill was suspended by the Kansas City Chiefs for around three months in 2019 after it was alleged that he had violently mistreated his son. Hill was not disciplined after an NFL inquiry found he had not broken the league’s personal conduct policy.

In 2024, Hill caught 81 catches for 959 yards and six touchdowns in 17 games, which was his lowest season-long total since his 2016 rookie season with Kansas City. The drop occurred after he started his career in Miami with two seasons with 1,700 yards and with Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa limited to just 11 games because of hip and concussion ailments.

Hill agreed to a three-year, $90 million contract extension through the 2026 season prior to the 2024 campaign, which included a $7 million signing bonus and $59 million in guaranteed funds. The eight-time Pro Bowl selection is scheduled to count $51.9 million in the 2026 contract’s final year and $28.7 million against the 2025 limit.

Hill first declared his desire to quit the Dolphins following the 2024 season. He is anticipated to join the team in 2025 after subsequently changing his mind.

In 141 games during the regular season, Hill has 798 receptions for 11,098 yards and 82 touchdowns.
