O.J. Simpson’s estate criticized Kim Kardashian’s offer to take a sentimental family item as being too low

Kim Kardashian’s efforts to bring her well-known family back together with a memento of her deceased father are not going well.

Legal restrictions and the perceived cheap price of the uncommon artifact prevented “The Kardashian” star from buying it at O.J. Simpson’s estate auction.

When O.J. Simpson was on trial for the murders of his estranged wife Nicole Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman, Kim Kardashian’s late father, Robert Kardashian, notably represented him in court.

Kim Kardashian Has to Search Far and Wide for the Opportunity to Hold Her Late Father’s Bible

The object in question was a Bible that Robert gave to the prisoner the day after he was arrested for killing his ex-wife. The bible was offered by Kim to Malcolm LaVergne, O.J.’s executor, who is currently liquidating his assets to pay off outstanding bills.

Malcolm reportedly rejected the sentimental item’s $15,000 offer from the business owner since it was already subject to a judicial auction contract. The executor stated:

“The amount is why I had no choice, because why would I spend $15,000 of estate money —why would I spend $15,000 in attorney’s fees — to sell it to Kim for $15,000?”

“That’s a zero-sum game,” Malcolm continued. It’s a poor business strategy. We would have gone in court to get this allowed outside of the auction if Kim had given $150,000.

The executor pointed her that the aspiring lawyer may still bid on the bible online, and although it now has a $9,800 bid, Malcolm stated that Kim might end up buying it for less than her asking amount, according to PEOPLE.

How Important Is This Book To The Founder Of SKIMS?

Malcolm revealed that a sincere note from Robert to his close buddy was included with the bible. According to reports, the note was dated June 18, 1994, the day following O.J.’s double murder accusation.

“This book will be helpful, O.J. God will use his words to communicate with you because he loves you. Every day, read this book. God’s plan for your life is clear. He will take advantage of you again since you are his child. Robert wrote, “God loves you, and I love you.”

Because of their strong relationship, Robert chose to represent O.J. throughout the murder trial, which resulted in O.J.’s acquittal on all counts. However, in a civil trial in 1997, he was convicted guilty.

Just eight weeks after receiving a diagnosis of esophageal cancer, Kim’s father died in September 2003 at the age of 59.

O.J. ran into another legal problem in 2008 and was sentenced to prison time. Nine years in prison for kidnapping and armed robbery. At the age of 76, he passed away from prostate cancer in April 2024.

Kim’s Path To Law School Honors Her Father’s Memory

All of the Kardashian children have consistently remembered their father in different ways after his passing. The mogul has been outspoken about preserving the late Robert’s legacy, as have her mother Kris Jenner, sister Kourtney and Khloe, and brother Robert J.

By going to law school, Kim has taken things a step further and hopes to follow in her father’s footsteps as a legal luminary. She has made many calls for criminal justice changes and is well-known for having passed the 2021 baby bar exams.

In “Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project,” her 2020 Oxygen documentary, Kim talked about how her legal career has helped her feel closer to her late father.

She reflected on how these difficulties frequently brought him and their common desire for justice to mind as she recounted times when she felt frustrated while studying late into the night. Kim stated:

“I could be frustrated and studying really late and have to get up and wonder how he did it, having four kids and must’ve been going through some of the same things that I have gone through,” she continued. “So it would have been exciting to talk to him about that, and I know that he would be so, so proud.”

The Kardashians commemorated Robert’s 16th birthday with the UCLA Esophageal Center.

In honor of Robert’s legacy, the Kardashian family reunited in 2019 to attend the launch of UCLA’s Robert G. Kardashian Center for Esophageal Health in Los Angeles.

Kim and Khloe were accompanied by their half-sisters Kendall and Kyle Jenner, along with other members of Robert’s family, to the celebration, according to PEOPLE. The proprietor of SKIMS announced the center’s mission on Twitter, which is now X, at the time:

“I’m thrilled to announce the opening of UCLA’s Robert G. Kardashian Center for Esophageal Health. I hope that more information will be available to other families and that we can concentrate on prevention and health.

The wing, Khloe told the public, will “provide resources for groundbreaking research, patient care, and education/training, in addition to support of efforts in esophageal health.”

Kim Kardashian is taking on the role of Kris Jenner.

Without a question, Kris acted quickly following Robert’s passing to honor his memory and their kids, a mission that resulted in billions of money.

According to The Blast, Kim is about to accomplish what her devoted mother did by meticulously overseeing her first daughter’s work and at last experiencing a little bit of Kris’ world.

Insiders claim that Kris is overjoyed that Kim is following in her footsteps and is more than happy to give her all the advice she needs to assist North’s career progress.

The source emphasized the momager’s substantial time and effort commitment to overseeing her children’s prosperous careers.

Despite her unrelenting efforts, it seems that her family frequently fails to acknowledge her achievements. The insider claims that juggling a momager’s hard role might occasionally feel unappreciated.

“I’m pretty happy that Kim’s getting a taste of what it’s like and how exhausting it is,” the person continued, describing the matriarch of the family. Kim is already grousing about how much time it takes away from her own agenda and is requesting Kris’ assistance.”

Will Kim Kardashian continue to honor her father’s memory by clinching the bible?
