Patrick Mahomes and his wife welcome their third kid and celebrate a Golden moment

Patrick Mahomes will be leading the top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs against the fourth-seeded Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round on Sunday. He has a new admirer in the house.

On Sunday, Brittany Mahomes disclosed on her Instagram account that she and her husband had welcomed their third child, Golden Raye Mahomes. Golden is accompanied by her siblings, Sterling and Bronze, as her father endeavors to achieve an unprecedented Super Bowl three-peat.

Sterling will be turning four next month, while Bronze will be celebrating his second birthday in November.

Kansas City was granted a bye on Sunday, a situation that Mahomes expressed optimism for during a Netflix interview late last month.

“Hopefully God works the right way, and we can have that baby maybe on the bye week somewhere and then everything will work out perfectly,” according to him.

Mahomes, who is 29 years old, has already been the league MVP twice and has won the Super Bowl three times. He and the Chiefs are striving for their third consecutive Super Bowl victory.

In Texas, he and Brittany, who was also 29, were high school sweethearts. They are shareholders of the Kansas City Royals of the Major League Baseball and the MLS franchise Sporting KC, in addition to being a member of the ownership group of the Kansas City Current of the National Women’s Soccer League.
