Prophet EJ Newton Arrested in Alleged Parental Abduction Case During Church Service

During his church service, well-known prophet EJ Newton was arrested in connection with a case of parental abduction.

Newton was on stage at his 433 Church in Miami, delivering a message, when an off-camera individual approached him and asked to talk. Later, urging his audience to pray instead, he put down his microphone and left the stage. According to the video, Newton was confronted by Miami Police officers who insisted on speaking with him outside. The pastor provided further video of the police outside his church on Instagram, giving his perspective on the matter.

“This took place during duty. Police have placed me in seclusion and won’t let me go. False charges began to flood our internet service as soon as I left the stage. My ex-wife was recruited by THEM, and they are now collaborating. My ex-wife is saying that I’m attempting to leave the country while a parenting schedule case is pending. A judge authorized an urgent extraction. We saw that they had other persons enter the service as well. Let me be clear, even though this whole situation has been really strange, I am not running away. I had no intention of traveling. “Now, they’re stopping members from leaving church grounds and searching their cars,” he said in his long post.

Newton implied that the real motivation for the raid was “speaking up against occultism and witchcraft in the church” in other parts of the caption. Blogger Larry Reid asserted, however, that Newton’s ex-wife accused him of abducting their children by neglecting to return them after a visit. Reid further verified that churchgoers were compelled to stay within the structure until Newton’s children and their passports were safely delivered back to their mother.
