The US announces Ghana’s visa restrictions
The United States on Monday announced a visa restriction policy for individuals it considers to be responsible for undermining democracy in Ghana, in anticipation of the presidential and parliamentary elections in the West African nation in December.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated in a statement that this visa restriction policy would only apply to specific individuals who undermine democracy and is not directed at the Ghanaian people or the government of Ghana.
