Man City manager Guardiola says it doesn’t matter if the manager is English or not

The media and fans have had mixed responses to Thomas Tuchel’s appointment as England manager. However, Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has asked the country’s fans to support the German manager no matter what his nationality is.

Tuchel, a former manager of Chelsea and Bayern Munich, is the first German to lead England. He is also only the third foreigner to do so, after the late Swedish Sven-Goran Eriksson and the Italian Fabio Capello.

“Where we are born is not up to us.” We’re here nine months after Mom and Dad made that choice. Guardiola told reporters before City’s game at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday, “I didn’t choose to be Catalan, and you don’t choose to be English.”

“The federation chose a manager from outside of Russia who has a good track record.” I think I would back him no matter what. People will praise him if he wins and blame him if he loses. But it doesn’t matter what country he is from.

“I know we’re proud of where we come from, but the world is so big.” You need to have an open mind. “I came here to learn from you,” the 53-year-old said at a news conference on Friday.

Guardiola, Eddie Howe of Newcastle United, and Graham Potter, who used to manage Chelsea, were all linked with the England job.

When asked if the FA had asked him to lead a national team, the Spaniard said, “Thomas Tuchel is the manager, forget about it.”

“Forget about it, I’m the manager of Man City.” “The rest doesn’t matter.”

After seven games, City is in second place with 17 points, tied with Arsenal for third place and one point behind Liverpool in first place.

Wolves has one point and beat City 2-1 in this matchup last year. Guardiola said it would be a tough trip.

“They should have more points than they have.” I can only see that. “Wolves are always tough,” he said.

Guardiola said that Kevin de Bruyne, a player who has been out for weeks with a hamstring injury, would not be able to play in the game.
