Report: Big Meech Has Been Freed From Federal Prison

In January 2026, Big Meech is anticipated to be released from the halfway house.

According to reports, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory was moved to a halfway home after being freed from federal jail. Flenory is initially anticipated to be distributed domestically no later than 2026, according to The Jasmine Brand.

Journalist Philip Lewis said, “A Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson informs me that Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Flenory was moved yesterday from FCI Coleman Low to community confinement (home confinement or halfway house)” shortly after the news surfaced. The anticipated release date of Flenory is January 27, 2026.

The co-founder of the Black Mafia Family may be released in 2026, according to a recent Detroit News article. The well-known hustler was given a 30-year sentence in 2008 and was supposed to serve it. At first, Flenory’s lawyer, Brittany K. Barnett, had 32 months taken off of his sentence. Nevertheless, Barnett emphasized his client’s dedication to reintegrating into society following their conviction for widespread narcotics trafficking and money laundering.

In 1985, Big Meech and his brother Terry Lee “Southwest Tee” Flenory established BMF as a hip-hop label and creative firm. But when federal officials determined that the company was only a front for a sophisticated money laundering scam in the 2000s, everything fell apart.

According to the feds, BMF made over $270 million from the sale of cocaine and transported it around the nation. In a 2005 narcotics sweep, officials from the U.S. narcotics Enforcement Administration destroyed Flenory’s cocaine business, leading to the arrest of Big Meech, Southwest Tee, and over 100 other accomplices.

As of right now, no additional information on Big Meech has been made public.
