Erdogan claims that Turkey seeks closer connections with Egypt in the areas of nuclear and natural gas
President Tayyip Erdogan stated on Wednesday that Turkey was interested in strengthening its relationship with Egypt in the areas of natural gas and nuclear energy following discussions with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, in Ankara.
At a joint press conference with Sisi, Erdogan stated that the two nations had reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing their relations in all domains, including trade, defense, health, energy, and the environment. Prior to the leaders’ statements, a succession of agreements were signed by the ministers of both countries.
