A senior Hamas official dismisses Blinken’s Gaza proposal assertion
Osama Hamdan, a senior official of Hamas, criticised U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s statement on Monday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had accepted an updated proposal. Hamdan stated that the statement “raises many ambiguities” because it is “not what was presented to us nor what we agreed on.”
Hamdan informed Reuters that Hamas has already informed mediators that “new Gaza ceasefire negotiations are unnecessary; rather, we must establish an implementation mechanism.”
