Michelle Obama Honors her 63rd Birthday with Her Husband, Barack “Leading Us Through Every Storm in Life”

On Sunday, August 4, the former first lady honored her husband on social media.

Barack Obama is being honored on his 63rd birthday by Michelle Obama.

The former first lady posted a picture of the pair pushing a big boulder together while on a vacation together on Sunday, August 4. The image was made on Instagram.

Michelle, 60, wrote, “Happy birthday to the love of my life, @BarackObama,” as the photo’s caption. “Let’s move mountains together and withstand every storm that life throws at us. ❤️.”

She uploaded the identical picture on X as well (previously Twitter).

Many people, including Debi Mazar, Cynthia Bailey, and Chelsea Handler, wished the politician a happy birthday in the Instagram post’s comments area.

Following Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the presidential campaign, the former president and first wife extended their support to Democratic presidential contender and current Vice President Kamala Harris more than a week before his birthday.

On Friday, July 26, the Harris campaign unveiled a video in which the pair could be heard praising her over the phone.

“I can’t end this conversation without telling my girlfriend Kamala how pleased I am of her. Barack remarked, “Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office,” while Michelle stated in the video, “This is going to be historic.”

Barack advised the presidential candidate that she would need to “earn not just the nomination but the trust of folks all across this country” in order to win in November. Former president Donald Trump is her rival, according to the complete transcript of the discussion that PEOPLE was able to get.

Malia, 25, and Sasha, 22, are the Obamas’ kids. The couple celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary in October of last year.

When questioned by the late-night host during a fundraiser event on June 15 at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater alongside Biden and Jimmy Kimmel, the former president stated his daughters would “never” be president.

“That is a question I do not need to answer, because Michelle drilled into them so early that you would be crazy to go into politics,” Barack replied. “It’ll never happen.”

Since their father left the White House in 2017, his daughters—whom he referred to as “powerful young women” during the June appearance—have found their own careers.

While Sasha received a sociology degree from the University of Southern California in May 2023, Malia has been pursuing a job in the entertainment business.
