Gallagher has received a new contract offer from Chelsea, according to Maresca

Before their preseason friendly against Manchester City in Ohio, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca said that the midfielder Conor Gallagher has been extended an offer by the club for a new contract, since his present one ends next year.

The 24-year-old and the British media are reportedly in competition for his signature, but they have not yet agreed on terms, and Maresca would not disclose the specifics of the offer.

I can confirm that the club has sent an offer to him for a new contract and that he is in communication with them to find a solution. “I have received that information,” Maresca said reporters late on Friday.

After competing in the European Championship, Gallagher is on vacation and did not go with the team to the United States.

“The main focus or target at the moment for me, Connor and the club is to find a solution that makes everyone happy,” said Maresca.
On August 18, Chelsea will play City in their Premier League debut.
