Amrabat feels it’s still possible to stay at United

Even though Sofyan Amrabat acknowledges that his future is unknown, he has stated that he wants to finish his career at Manchester United.

The Morocco international had his greatest performance while wearing a United shirt on Sunday as Erik ten Hag’s team defeated Manchester City 2-1 at Wembley to win the FA Cup for 2023–24.

Amrabat and Ten Hag were reunited when he signed a season-long loan with the Red Devils in September, but he struggled to make an impression at first due to an injury and missing the preseason.

Towards the end of the season, though, the 27-year-old midfielder started the final three Premier League games against Brighton, Newcastle, and Arsenal after finding some form.

In the FA Cup final, Amrabat was tasked with shackling Rodri. He was among United’s top performers that day as they prevented City from winning the domestic double.

The club has not yet made a decision regarding the Dutchman’s future, despite widespread speculation in the run-up to the FA Cup final that Ten Hag would be fired regardless of the outcome.

Amrabat stated that talks with the Red Devils will take place in the upcoming weeks and that he hasn’t ruled out remaining at Old Trafford.

“Am I sure about my plans for next year already? He said to Ziggo Sport, “No.” We’ll have a conversation. It is absolutely an option to stay.

“Well, I feel like this season has been really challenging. It needs to be much better for me personally as much as for Manchester United.

We’ll have a conversation. Given that Manchester United is the largest football club in the world, who wouldn’t want to play here?

“But since everyone needs to get along, let’s just sit down and watch what happens.”
