Georgia Arrests GloRilla for DUI: Report

GloRilla was arrested and booked on Tuesday (April 16) in Gwinnett County, Georgia, south of Atlanta, according to a report from TMZ on Wednesday, April 17. She was detained on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, ingesting alcohol or having an open container, and a separate traffic infraction. Glo was bonded out a few hours after being booked at 6:12 a.m.

GloRilla was charged with failure to obey a traffic control device, according to the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office, according to local Atlanta news site Channel 2 Action News. Additionally, she was freed on a $1,956 bond. The arrest seems to have happened in the suburb of Suwanee, Georgia, which is about thirty minutes outside of Atlanta. The mugshot that TMZ used was provided by the Suwanee Police Department. Though Glo’s mugshot is different, Channel 2 Action News confirms that Glo was taken into custody by the Suwanee Police Department.

Around four in the morning yesterday, police stopped a car that was attempting to turn left at a red light, according to a police record that TMZ was able to get. GloRilla argued that she was fine to drive even though she acknowledged drinking that evening. A field sobriety test was given by the police, and Glo was reportedly “shaky on, especially staying on her feet.” The rapper from Memphis was also required to perform a battery of DUI tests, which included an eye-follow, walk-and-turn, one-leg balancing, and straight-line walking. Glo reportedly refused to take a breathalyzer and failed every DUI test. Police also report that GloRilla had a wardrobe malfunction throughout all of this, with her breast falling out of her clothes.

After GloRilla was finally taken into custody, a friend arrived to take her car.

The news of GloRilla’s arrest follows the release of her most recent album, Ehhthang Ehhthang, and the declaration that she will be joining Megan Thee Stallion on the international Hot Girl Summer tour this summer.
