The driver of the accident that killed the children in Arusha, Tanzania is brought to the dock

Reading the charges, the state prosecutors Yunis Makala and Amina Kiango have said that the accused as a driver driving a car T496EFK Toyota Hiace April 12 2024 without taking precautions and considering the safety of the passengers he was carrying who were under his care, he drove the car in the rain water area Engosengiu, Sinoni and the failure to handle it led to the washout and the death of eight students between the ages of three and thirteen.

After the charges were read, the Defendant was not required to answer anything because the Arusha District Court does not have the authority to hear his case where the Resident Magistrate Mfawidhi Sheila Manento adjourned the case until April 30 2024 when it will be mentioned again.
